So this morning I snuck into the ultrasound office for a quick scan. I only scheduled it yesterday...mostly cause I was kind of afraid given the outcome of my last visit there. I had the same technician from the first time I was there and I think I appreciate her sense of humor more, though I'm grateful to the lady I had last time since she's the one who spotted the cervical issues.
Anyway, after much prodding and poking we actually got the boy to show us his face. There are a couple of good face shots, a decent profile shot and a HILARIOUS shot of the right arm. In my opinion this is him welcoming us to the "gun show" and he'd like us to check out his pythons. Hahahahahahha!!!
He's weighing in at about 2 lbs 13 oz today. This is big for his gestation but given the steroids recieved during the hospital stay and the fact we all know is the boy does not hail from a small sized clan, so we expect him to be big anyway. Some may cringe at the size already since in a few weeks he'll start packing on the weight big time, but in my mind it's comforting to know he's sizeable and if something does happen early where my body just can't hold him in there anymore, the bigger and more robust he is the better his chances of having zero to few complications no matter how early he arrives.
We had to coax him about to get the correct views of his heart etc cause apparently he's a stomach sleeper and is quite content to lay that way. He's head down and kept turning his back to the ultrasound scanner....just like his dad.....this is the vision of what's to come, right? His bottom is right about under my belly button today so I was giving him little taps to get him in gear...seemed to be effective anyway cause all the required pictures are finally taken and the screen is complete. Only took like 6 weeks, right?
Anyway, here's the scanned image of today's ultrasound results. Enjoy his little face, it was hard to get his hands away for a second but we did it!!

He looks like he's laughing in the second ultrasound picture, which wouldn't surprise me one bit considering all the havoc he's been wreaking in the past six weeks! A sure sign of what's to come, my friend! :)
Why, oh why can't I make the picture bigger??? I really want to see him closer!
I can't believe he finally cooperated! YAAAAAAAAY BABY K!!!!
